Community Tested
What Is a Hush Hush Nomadic Cafe?
Secret locations.
Last-minute invites.
Coffee outside.
Friends old and new.
The Nomadic Cafe started as a simple excuse to make coffee outdoors. Over time, it turned into something bigger: a way to connect people and build real community.
At the core of Hush Hush is one simple idea:
invite people to coffee outside, then introduce them to each other.
We didn’t know what it would become when we started. We invited people because we wanted others to help shape it. That’s still true today.
We host Nomadic Cafes every 4–6 weeks, but we can only do so much. The best version of this grows when others make it their own.
That’s where you come in.
Become a Hush Host
You can do this on your own (with some help) and honestly, you probably already are the kind of person who invites people and brings folks together.
If you want to:
- learn from our playbook
- host under the Hush banner
- be part of the larger Hush Hush community
…then this is for you.
A Few Rules
1) Don’t be a jerk.
Respect the place and the people showing up. You’re turning an ordinary space into a place people can connect. Treat it that way.
Leave it better then you found it.
2) Don’t charge money for events.
This is about generosity, not transactions.
3) Use the Hush logo responsibly.
You can use our logo for posts, collaborations, one off event merch, or special events promotion.
If funds are generated beyond what you need, donate them to a nonprofit.
If people want official Hush Hush gear, send them to the main site (helps us do more).
4) Don’t create location-specific Hush accounts.
No HushHushNewYork or HushHushPortland.
Use your personal account, text threads, WhatsApp, email, or word of mouth.
We’ll help you with how to invite and spread the word.
5) Small and Slow is good.
In the western states there is lots of public land still keep gathers less then 75 people and be mindful of local rules.
Starting small 5 or 7 people is great, that's what we did.
Ready?
If this feels like a yes, send us an inquiry.
We’ll give you access to the Hush Host Playbook and the Cult Kit, and help you get your first Nomadic Cafe off the ground.
Coffee is the excuse.
Showing up is the point.
